I had an amazing stay at Intercontinental Edinburgh The George. The hotel combines historic elegance with modern comforts. While some aspects like the breakfast selection could use a little enhancement, the really good staff and location more than made up for it.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was beautifully appointed, spacious, and clean, although the shower screen leaked a bit. Despite that, I felt the comfort of the bed truly made up for any minor inconveniences.
Service

The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, especially Tomas, who went above and beyond to accommodate my requests regarding room changes. Nathan from concierge surprised me with extra tea, which was such a thoughtful touch.

I had a pleasant stay at Intercontinental Edinburgh The George, enjoying its central location and warm service. The hotel’s breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a good variety of options. However, my Premium King City View room had its drawbacks, mainly the small bathroom and the presence of interconnecting doors that compromised my privacy and peace. Overall, it's a good option if you're aware of these considerations.

I had a lovely stay at InterContinental Edinburgh The George, but there were a couple of hiccups. The historic façade and lobby are stunning, and the staff, especially Tomas and Nathan, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. However, my initial room was in need of refurbishment, with some worn furnishings. Once I was moved to a larger room, I enjoyed a more comfortable experience. albeit with some heating issues during a chilly January night.

My stay at Intercontinental Edinburgh The George had some great moments, but it was also marred by several disappointments. The location is fantastic, allowing easy access to the sights of Edinburgh, and I appreciated the particularly warm service from the staff. However, I encountered issues with the food quality and my initial room, which left a lot to be desired. Overall, while there were some highlights, the experience did not fully meet my expectations.

Service

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and they did their best to assist me with my requests. However, the response to my concerns about the initial room and dining experiences felt lacking, as I didn’t receive the consideration I expected regarding compensation for my troubles.

Dining was a letdown during my stay. The breakfast service was chaotic, with cold food and a disorganized buffet. I expected better quality and variety, particularly for a high-end hotel. I had a disappointing dinner where many dishes were bland or overly salty.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offers a nice range of amenities, including room service and assistance with tickets. However, the issues I faced with the food and initial room overshadowed my overall impression of the facilities. There were moments I felt the attention to detail was lacking throughout.
